An Australian project to promote:

preservation of privately held materials which record any part of the story of East Timor's traumatic path to independence
return to Timor of copies or original materials which will assist the East Timorese to build their own repositories of memory and history
preservation and access to items which document the various Australian roles in this significant part of our own history
